1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved

1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.
Stir in milk and vanilla until a dough forms.
Press the dough into a baking pan and spread the cherries evenly on top.
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the cherries.
