- 3 pounds beef chuck roast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
